Do you remember Jonathan Gruber, the “architect” of Obamacare who got caught telling the truth about the awful law and insulting Americans? Well, he’s back in the news.
At the time videos of his discussions on Obamacare came to light, he and the White House denied that they had close ties, or that he had much to do with crafting the dreaded law. So what if he raked in over $ 400,000 as a consultant? We’re supposed to just believe what they tell us and shut up about it. They must be really annoyed that emails have been disclosed that blow that lie out of the water.
The emails show Gruber kept HHS abreast of his conversations with health reporters and lawmakers: He let them know when a conversation went well and a story would post; when he got pushback about his undisclosed contract he revealed only their description of his activities; and that he worked to convince Sen. Mary Landrieu to support the bill.
“There’s no doubt [Gruber] was a much more integral part of this than they’ve said,” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah), chairman of the committee that released the emails, reported the Wall Street Journal. “He put up this facade he was an arm’s length away. It was a farce.”
Gruber received almost $ 400,000 from HHS alone for his work creating computer models that would predict how the Congressional Budget Office would score the healthcare legislation, according to public records. (Read More)
Gruber revealed that Obamacare was sold to the public on a lie, so it’s no surprise that they lied about their relationship with Gruber. Not that most American voters will even hear about this.
