How about a re-think of the dozens of places named after former Klansman Robert Byrd?

Ever since the controversy over the Confederate Flag erupted in the wake of the terrible murders at a church in Charleston, and SC Gov. Nikki Haley ordered the flag removed from the State Capitol, media types and others have been calling for a “rethink” or removal of the
Jefferson Memorial, the American flag, the Washington Monument, etc.

Can we at least include in the discussion the 50 or so places named after Robert Byrd, the Democrat West Virginia Senator who was before that a Grand Kleagle and recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan? Seems like that should at least be in the mix of the discussion, if people are hell bent on blaming a psychopaths murder spree on
