What’s With The Outrage Over The Trans-Race Woman?

Did you hear about Rachel Dolezal, the head of the NAACP in Spokane, who is taking fire for saying that she’s African American (among other races) when she was really born white? Her parents, who blew her cover, pretty much admitted that she’s been telling herself, and everyone else, that she’s black for so long that she actually believes it.

How is this different from Bruce Jenner saying he is a woman and asking people to call him Caitlyn? Bruce Caitlyn Jenner was born a boy, won Olympic gold as a man, and now says he’s a woman. Anyone who criticizes or makes fun of him her is labeled a hater and dismissed.

Our society says we must not only accept, but embrace, people like Bruce Caitlyn Jenner. So how can we then turn around and judge people like Rachel Dolezal for living out their own dreams? Hey, you know the old saying “In for a dime, in for a dollar.” If it’s okay for one group of people to deny nature and reality, doesn’t it have to also be okay for other people to do the same?
